Andrew Sachs dies aged 86

This year (2016) has seen far too many celebrity deaths and the news of Andrew Sachs dying last week has come as a complete shock. We will always remember his portrayal of Manuel, but he is also a much loved British icon. Let's hope the BBC will re-air Fawlty Towers in his honor and maybe a documentary to highlight his life's work.

"Just heard about Andy Sachs. Very sad. A very sweet gentle and kind man and a truly great farceur. I first saw him in Habeas Corpus on stage in 1973. I could not have found a better Manuel. Inspired."
